Boston Opera Collaborative (BOC) presents A Little Night Music February 5-7 & 12-14, 2010. Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Hugh Wheeler. Friday/Saturday performances begin at 7:30 pm, Sunday performances begin at 3:00 pm. Performances will be held in the Tower Auditorium, Mass Art, 621 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA. David Gram directs. Romantic and dreamlike with an air of melancholy, Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Tony award-winning musical A Little Night Music bears both the perfumed quality of a summer breeze and the musky aroma of desire. Set in turn of the century Sweden, this is a tale of missed opportunities, second chances, and the follies of love. Sondheim’s elegant score, set to variations of triple time, echoes the many love triangles that permeate the musical. With its playful and mysterious spirit, A Little Night Music reminds us that no matter how old or young we are, when it comes to matters of the heart, we can always count on the summer night to smile down upon us.
Online ticket sales are closed at midnight the evening before any performance. Tickets are available to all shows at the door, cash or check only. All tickets sales are non-refundable.
Students who purchase tickets online must present ID upon picking them up, or additional fees will apply.
