For its 72nd annual production, the Lowell House Opera presents Tosca, a melodrama in three acts, with music by Giacomo Puccini. The libretto, by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica, is based on Victorien Sardou’s play La Tosca. Passion runs high in this operatic masterwork dealing with political intrigue, love, lust, and murder. Fully staged and costumed performance, sung in Italian with projected English translations.
