Isaac Yager, tenor

Isaac Yager, tenor, is currently pursuing graduate studies in vocal performance at Boston University. A native New Yorker, Mr. Yager received his BA in theater at Bard College where he was the only non-music major selected to sing solo with the American Symphony Orchestra under conductor Leon Botstein. Roles performed include Beppe in I Pagliacci and Ruiz in Il Trovatore, both with the Amato Opera in NYC under Maestro Anthony Amato. Mr. Yager has performed numerous roles with Boston University Opera including Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas, Clovis in Jorge Martin’s Tobermory, and Bill in Barber’s A Hand of Bridge. This spring, Mr. Yager will appear again at BU as Maestro Spinelloccio in Gianni Schicchi and as Elder Hayes in Susannah. He currently studies with Sharon Daniels, director of the Boston University Opera Institute.
