Erin Wakeman is originally from Mobile, AL. She began her musical studies at the age of 14 with Ms. Betty Alette. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College where she performed roles such as The Governess in Benjamin Britten's The Turn of the Screw and Gretel in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel. Currently, she is working towards a Master's in Music degree from The New England Conservatory. Since moving to Boston, she is a soprano section leader at St. Peter's Episcopal in Weston, and performed the role of Gretel again in the Boston Opera Collabortive production of Hansel and Gretel.
