Angela Henstra, soprano

Angela Henstra's recent performances include: Der Rosenkavalier (The Marschallin), Die Fledermaus (Ida), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Cobweb), Akhnaten (Temple Priest), and The Gondoliers (Giulia). She has also played leads in very successful children's operas, singing Granny in Little Red's Most Unusual Day and the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. Additional performances include numerous opera scenes, portraying such roles as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, and the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro. This past summer, Angela originated the role of Angie in the world premiere of Trey Veet Detective and the Curse on the High C's with OperaWorks in Los Angeles. Other performances include Catherine in Le Marriage aux Lanterns, and Torribio and Baracol in Les Bavards with Intermezzo Young Artists Program. Angela has appeared as a soloist with Longwood Opera's Summer Concert Series, The Choral Art Society of Scituate, Massachusetts, The Boston Conservatory Women's Chorus, and First Parish in Brookline. She is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory.
